Tacos · Tostadas · Burritos
The Long Beach kitchen behind the two-pound burrito.
Hard tacos fried to order, a burrito you hold with both hands, and a counter that has been doing it the same way on Clark Avenue for a long time. Eat in, take it out, or let us bring the taco bar to you.

What people drive across town for
Three things to know about
Most of it comes out on a plate with a green stripe around the rim. If you have never been in before, start with one of these.

The Baja Burrito
Rice, beans, lettuce and your choice of meat, served wet under melted cheese with a garnish of fresh guacamole.

Street Tacos
Three of the original three-bite tacos, with freshly chopped onions and cilantro.

Fish Taco
Tender flaky tilapia with red and green cabbage, pico de gallo and our special sauce.

Taste / Thrifty Gourmet
Mike, Ramiro, and a two-pound burrito
The Press-Telegram sent a photographer down to Long Beach and put owner Mike Mendelsohn and head chef Ramiro Gonzalez on the food page, each holding one of the two dishes people already knew Baja Sonora for: the two-pound burrito, and the deep-fried chicken tacos with rice and beans.
Both of them are still on the menu, and the burrito still comes in a size that feeds eight to ten people if you ask for it that way.
